Our aim is to ensure you have all the information you need to make the best choice for your family.

Yes! As a unique part of our vacation care service we offer children to stay in-house, at the centre for an incursion even on excursion days.
We wanted to provide families with younger children who weren’t comfortable with the idea of their child(ren) exploring outside the school environment whilst still catering to those that are experiencing the fast growing interests of their older child(ren) aged 8-11 (approx. grades 3-6).
We also understand the challenges some families face with multiple children from different age groups, hence why we wanted to give all families the freedom to choose.
We have provided the option for older sibling(s) to have the opportunity to enjoy excursions whilst their younger sibling(s) stay at the service for the day’s incursion to ensure all children feel a sense of secure and independence whilst allowing their families to have peace of mind each time they entrust the care of their child(ren) to Sylvania Waters OSHC.
Unfortunately due to weather and/or reasons beyond our control excursions may be effected or even cancelled. In addition, we also have a minimum requirement of 11 and maximum of 22 children for excursions to go ahead.
When excursions have to be cancelled, we will notify you via email and/or OWNA. You will be able to choose one of the following two options:
NOTE: Refunds for this purpose are not in the form of a credit note.
TIP: Considering we have a basic number requirement of 11 children for excursions to proceed together with the added benefit of a ‘Refer a Friend’ discount, it’s a great opportunity to encourage your close friends and family to join our excursions and take advantage of both opportunities!
At Sylvania Waters OSHC, our programs are crafted with a strong emphasis on learning, wellbeing and fun, ensuring that each child’s interests are at the heart of every experience.
We pride ourselves on creating a rich, inclusive environment where every child can thrive and connect with one another. Our daily activities are carefully designed to nurture adventure, creativity, curiosity, and personal growth.
We offer a variety of zones and stations that invite exploration and choice. Whether it’s building STEM focused Lego creations, engaging in imaginative play, enjoying music or reading a book and unwinding in out chill-out zone, there’s something for every child to enjoy.
Our extensive range of sporting equipment also ensures there is always an opportunity to engage in active play and friendly games with peers.
At Sylvania Waters OSHC, we focus on nurturing creativity, highly encouraging kindness, effective communication, and collaboration through play and dynamic activities.
Our service is also a great place for children and their families to meet and interact with new friends that live within our local community of Sylvania Waters and surrounding suburbs.
There are 4 key steps to ensuring you are eligible for childcare subsidy:
NOTE: No rebates can be applied to bookings unless the child(ren) and carer/applicant obtains a CRN number. All CCS eligibilities are required to be finalised and rectified through Services Australia (Centrelink) before enrolling for our service. Otherwise full fees will apply for each booking (this is not within our control). Sylvania Waters OSHC cannot apply any CCS rebates to family accounts as we have no authority and/or access to do so, this is processed through Services Australia (Centrelink).
If you have any queries regarding your CRN and/or CCS please reach out to the Family Assisstance Office in Services Australia (Centrelink) on 13 61 50 and/or through:
CRN: https://www.servicesaustralia.gov.au/child-care-subsidy
CCS: https://www.servicesaustralia.gov.au/centrelink-customer-reference-number-crn?context=64107
If your child has asthma, anaphylaxis, an allergy, or any other pre-existing medical condition(s), we require the child’s action and medical plans to be added to your Sylvania Waters OSHC account. Non illness/injury cancellations: We acknowledge that plans may change at times. As a gesture of goodwill, we’re extending the option for families to amend, swap, change, alter and/or cancel their booking(s). A credit note will be applied for the same value (discounts not applicable) to the families account reflecting the change. Conditions below:
Excursions require a minimum of 11 and max of 22 children. A refund of the price difference between excursion and incursion fees will be issued upon cancellation of any excursions unless family chooses the option to cancel their booking entirely, in this case they are forfeiting their booking(s) for the day and will be issued a full refund.
All refunds are exclusively provided in the form of a credit note (unless stated otherwise)
All credit notes must be used within the same holiday season. Any unused credit notes outside of this period expire and are automatically forfeited/void, i.e. they cannot be carried forward to future school holiday seasons.
All discounts (except for sibling discounts) applied to any bookings will be forfeited upon any form of cancellation and cannot be applied to any future bookings.
All Non-illness related cancellations require a minimum of 14 days notice.
All illness/injury related cancellations require a minimum of 24 hours notice, prior to the commencement of a booking (7am) along with a doctor’s medical certificate to be eligible for a credit note refund and to avoid an ‘unapproved absence’ in CCS for all illness/injury related cancellations.
Late/no notice cancellations that are reported after 24hrs prior to start of booking (7am) will result in a $30 fee/per booking . This is to help cover expenses, e.g. wages, food, incursion/excursion fees that we would incur based on the original number of students booked for the day.
Failed direct debits will incur a $10/per attempt fee.
Late pickups – please remember that our educators have families/commitments to go home to and, in some cases, their own children to collect by a designated time. Late pickups still require two educators on site, and therefore both have to be paid overtime. To help cover this, a late fee of $1 per child/per minute will be charged for any pickups after 6:00 pm. Time will be calculated based on check-out, recorded on OWNA.
Registration fees are non-refundable.
